With the old firmware however, the lens required a different set of custom focus parameters for the 1D Mark III and Mark IV, compared to the 7D, 5D Mark II and 50D. Look for my next update coming soon with good news on the new firmware!JerseyShooterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07071857078045856156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765715422254587392.post-28790107992107930482014-06-30T01:27:28.069-04:002014-06-30T01:27:28.069-04:00Does Canon 1.4x v III works with Sigma 120-300 (Sp...Does Canon 1.4x v III works with Sigma 120-300 (Sports) only on 1D bodies or also on crop bodies like 7D?? Currently I am not having any issues with hood as you have mentioned but I am also not happy with tripod collar.Anoophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15163535575840589318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765715422254587392.post-66957509721287086472014-06-18T10:38:28.257-04:002014-06-18T10:38:28.257-04:00Delighted to see this blog as I'm having the s...Delighted to see this blog as I'm having the same issues. I was using the 120-300 on my 5d3 with no problems, but then picked up the 1D4 to get the extra reach and speed. Absolute nightmare - focusing all over the place. Except for the time when I put on the Sigma 1.4 teleconverter... but I didn't realise that helped, I just thought I had figured out the best way of using the 1D4... Shot a match last Sunday and I had a 30% keeper rate (no teleconverter). So I'll stick it on and see if it helps tomorrow!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00146000479209479070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765715422254587392.post-69201487871459130252014-06-03T00:20:33.149-04:002014-06-03T00:20:33.149-04:00Hi Robert. Three different copies of the lens behaved exactly the same way on several 1D Mark III and Mark IV bodies, including one lens "calibrated" specially for me in Japan on a Mark IV. You can try sending your lens in for service, but unless there is something truly wrong with it I wouldn't expect much of a change. I have tried everything and gotten a lot of cooperation from Sigma, but so far there is no solution I am aware of. Maybe try copying my 1D settings into your lens to see if it is an improvement, you can always change it back if not. Like I said, it goes away using the Canon 1.4x v III which is really strange.JerseyShooterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07071857078045856156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6765715422254587392.post-39150832642506571752014-06-02T22:44:12.814-04:002014-06-02T22:44:12.814-04:00I am have the same issues with the same 1D-IV as y...I am have the same issues with the same 1D-IV as you and have lost my patience after trying every possible configuration. Have your issues been resolved & can you let me know who you are working with in LI? I want to send my copy to them ASAP.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16537258194287755710noreply@blogger.com
